So this may somehow be related, especially as the game is claiming my sim doesn't own the beans when they're placed on his lot (but I can still drag them into inventory). I checked my sim's storage chest when I got back to their lot, and the beans were still there but there were also definitely 8 of them. This was not the first lot transition since gaining the beans, but the number of items were listed as 8, and I had a suspicion that was how many beans I had at that point. ![]() Update: On a random lot change, I got the error that items I own had been removed from the game. No dice, and putting those beans on the ground also says my sim doesn't own them. I then tried buying the packets via clicking a planter, so the packets would land directly in the sim's inventory, and opened them from there. Tried putting them on the ground to pick back up and noticed that on clicking the beans, they say my sim doesn't own them. Tried putting those from the sim's inventory into a chest, and back out, no difference. I tried buying the seed packets from build&buy first and just opened them from their spots on the ground. It usually doesn't happen when you split the household via Manage Households.Same issue here. I've found that this usually happens when you move a sim via the move out and split household options on the phone or computer. If you can't then, you should be able to sell it in build mode. Sometimes, even though your sim can't pick the item up since it's not owned, you can drag it into the sim's inventory. So if you're playing a one sim household, you might have to add a sim temporarily to get it to work. But it does require more than one sim in the household. If the items are in your sim's inventory, you can gift them to another sim in the household and then they seem to get counted as owned by that sim and for the household and will get counted in the collection. Basically, since the items aren't being recognized as owned by your sim, they won't get counted for the collections.
